Small Group Studies

For the Christian disciple, Bible study is not so much a “take-it-or-leave-it” proposition as it is a direct command: “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2.15).  There is little doubt that St. Paul’s specific injunction to his young protege Timothy has relevance to every follower of Christ.  Therefore, in addition to the teaching ministry of our regular Sunday sermons, Christ Church offers weekly opportunities for older youth and adults to gather around the Bible for study, discussion, prayer, mutual encouragement and fellowship.

An increasing volume of research indicates that such Bible studies are effective when they are conducted in small groups, including in the intimate surroundings of private homes.  Therefore, at  Christ Church, we currently offer small groups that meet on Sunday morning at 9:30 AM at the church (with separate groups for children, middle school/high school aged youth and adults) and additional adult groups which meet on Monday afternoons .  The Monday afternoon Bible study group meets in a private home.  They all study the same material at the same time, so that if conflicts arise which prevent a regular from attending his normal group, he could visit another that same week and not miss a beat!

Our small group study curriculum and schedule changes periodically, so if you are interested in joining one of them, or desire more information, you are encouraged to contact us for current options.
